Hero Simbu’s Vaalu faces title issue, director clarifies

The title issue has been a frequent problem being faced by the directors coming up with films casting the big stars. Yesterday it was Vijay starrer Thuppakki and now it is STR’s Vaalu. However debutant director Vijay Chandar has come up with the denials on this issue for his maiden venture Vaalu starring Simbu.

Vijay’s Thuppakki is taking fast shape in the hands of director AR Murugadoss with Kajal Agarwal as Vijay’s love lead. Chennai high court is supposed to give the final judgement on the title issue between Thuppakki and Kalla Thuppakki today, but is again postponed to Sep 17th. Despite this makers have planned to unveil the firstlook trailer with no title tomorrow, on September 11th.

Coming to STR’s Vaalu, director Vijay Chandar clarified, “I’ve registered the Vaalu title four years ago and I ask for them to come with a proof that they have registered the same title too. This has become a free publicity for the small films and I request Producers council to take care of it.” Thambi Ramaiah’s former assistant Deivasigamani has helmed the other movie titled Vaalu featuring Akhil and Saranya in the lead roles.
